4.30.03 (2-60) Restricted Radius - Exempted Goods for Hire
Policy
The 2-60 plate class is used to register a vehicle that transports the exempted goods of someone other than the registered owner. The vehicle must be operated within a 10 kilometer radius of the city, town, specialized municipality, village, summer village or hamlet of the registered owner’s business/residence address. Registration Requirements
A client must:
- Provide proof of acceptable identification, see 2.05.02 Acceptable Identification/Enrolment.
- Provide proof of ownership, see 4.00.01 Vehicle Ownership, Creation and Registration Documents.
- Provide proof of insurance, see 4.00.02 Insurance Documents.
- Provide an Alberta address, see 2.10.01 Addresses & Acceptable Abbreviations.
- Provide the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
Operating Requirements
One or both of the following requirements may be required for operating purposes only:
- A Safety Fitness Certificate (SFC).
- A Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
