Policy

The 1-tlr plate class is used to register a trailer that transports:

• On a commercial basis.
• General merchandise (which includes exempted goods), belonging to someone other than the registered owner.

Registration Requirements

A client must:

• Provide proof of acceptable identification, see Acceptable Identification/Enrolment – Section 2.05.02.
• Provide proof of ownership, see Vehicle Ownership, Creation and Registration Documents – Section 4.00.01.
• Provide an Alberta address, see Addresses & Acceptable Abbreviations – Section 2.10.01.
• Provide the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
